Position created as one of the outcomes of the passage of the National Cybersecurity Law in December of 2014. According to the Law, the MoND will now play the primary role in national cybersecurity policy coordination. For this reason a new department dedicated to cybersecurity policy coordination in Lithuania was created.

Point man at the MoND for cybersecurity questions, participated in cyber policy making and implementation. Member of task force that wrote the first draft of the National Cybersecurity Law passed in December 2014.

Recently completed work as chairman of a commission to develop Defence System Cyber Security Strategy - December 2009. Now am chairing another commision to develop and implementation plan for the approved strategy. Worked as a member of a task force appointed by the Prime Minister to develop a national cyber security strategy. Has been presented to the Government for approval - March 2010.
